This is the 3rd post of an idea of my Daily Declarative Statements. If you missed it, it may be helpful to take a couple minutes and read it to get an understanding of this post.
Psalm 118:24 says, “This is the day the Lord has made I will rejoice and…”
7. Make my wife smile. Her smile is gold to me and serves as an indicator that she is happy. I will do anything to make her happy. I will serve her faithfully and joyfully. Her joy is my top priority every day.
8. Spend time with kids. Before I know it, my kids will grow up and leave the house. My time with them is limited. So, while I can I will love them, hold them, sit with them, teach them, listen to them, care for them, cry with them, and simply walk with them through the ups and downs of life. It is not a chore to do so but an honor and a gift.
9. Be an encourager. I will pan for gold in others because I realize everyone is made in the image of God, but few know or remember that. I am an optimist. I will assume the best not the worst in others and in life.
10. Choose to be Joyful. I realize joy is a choice and I choose to be grateful, for I know God has been so kind to me. I will rejoice in every season. I will sing His praises just as loud in the valley’s as I do on the mountain tops. I refuse to complain when life doesn’t go my way. For I know that complaining erodes unity, exposes immaturity, and avoids responsibility.
